Risk Factors and prevent of cataracts

Age is the single biggest risk factor. Therefore, all people have the risk of cataracts affected. Entering the age of 65 years, generally have a layer on the eyes, although not all affect vision.
Other factors that can cause cataracts risk exposure:
- Diabetes disease
- The offspring
- Former eye surgery
- Scar or inflammation
- Smokinghabits
- Ion radiation
- Expose UV rays
Check the eyes regularly. If you are over 65 years, eye examination should be scheduled at least 1 times a year. Steps that can be done to discourage or prevent the development of cataracts:
- Stop your smoking habit, as smoking-free produce radiation which can increase risk of cataracts affected.
- Protect the eyes from UV rays, because the UV rays contribute to the development of consecutive cataract. Wear sunglasses when outside.
- Eat vegetables and fruits regularly.
- Do care, in a way: use eyeglasses and contact lens according to the size (accurate), use a glass support in helping you to read, improve lighting in the home, use sunglasses when outdoors to reduce glare, limit driving at night .
